The Florida Association of Professional Lobbyists (FAPL) is a broad-based organization that is committed to establishing and maintaining high standards for the lobbying profession. The founders of FAPL are among the most senior members of the lobbying corps and bring many decades of combined experience. FAPL is governed by a Board of Directors but ultimate power is vested in the membership as a whole. Membership is open to any private or public sector lobbyist. FAPL's mission focuses on education and ethical conduct which fosters a lobby corps that is both knowledgeable and professional. FAPL sets out explicit standards of conduct in dealing with public officials, clients, and other members of the lobby corps. Its principles are centered on honesty, integrity, and respect for the political process.
